Stewart International Airport, New York

Stewart International Airport, located on the border of Newburgh and New Windsor, New York, is sixty miles outside New York City at the intersections of Interstate 84 and The New York State Thruway (Interstate 87).

Stewart is the first U.S. airport to have been privatized from a former military base -- Stewart Air Force Base.  Stewart Intanational Airport is operated by The National Express Corp. of Austin Texas (under British ownership).

Stewart has one of the longest runways in the country, and is a back-up landing site for Nasa's space shuttle.  The S.A.G.E. blockhouse is adjacent to the passenger terminal of the airport.
